Ensure your charge point is powered on and ready for connection.
Have Security Code Ready
Locate the security code that came with your charge point's installation packaging.
Install EVBox Mobile App
In order to connect your charge point with synergEV, you will need to first install the EVBox mobile app.
1. Connect Your Charger
1.1 Find Your Charger
Find and connect your charger via Bluetooth
1.2 Save Modem Number
Note: Save the charge point's modem number at this point. You will use it later in the pairing process. It should look something like EVB-XXXXXXXXX.
1.3 Enter Security Code
Enter the security code of your charge point in order to get EVBox APP authorized with your charge point. Security Code should come with your charge point's installation packaging, typically located on a big cardboard cutout. Enter the code and press "Authorize".
Access Control Settings (optional)
IMPORTANT!
If you are planning to share your charge point publicly and EV drivers will pay for their charges via Charge Keys, you need to enable this.
Enable Charge Fob/Key
Here, in the setting "Charger Access Control", enable Activate using charge fob/key and disable Auto-start.

2. Enter Installer Mode
2.1 Connect to Charge Point
Once connected to the charge point you will need to head into "Installer Mode".
2.2 Click Installer Mode Button
Click the button at the bottom of the screen.
2.3 Enter Security Code Again
Once you arrive to this screen, you will be prompted to enter the security code. This is the same security code that you was required to enter on step 1.3. Enter the code and click on "Continue".
3. Access Charging Manager Platform
3.1 Click on "Charging Manager Platform"
After entering Installer mode you will see the menu area where you need to enter so called "Charging Manager Platform" go ahead and click on that button.
Note: It might take a moment to load this page.
3.2 View Options
Upon entering the "Charging Manager Platform" section you will be presented with a list of options.
3.3 Select "Different Backend URL"
Select the first option "Different Backend URL".
3.4 Enter synergEV OCPP URL address
Enter synergEV servier URL: wss://ocpp.evconnect.com/ocpp/1_6j/generic
Once complete, click on "Save" and then "Select".
4. Save and Reboot
4.1 Save Changes
Click on "Save".
4.2 Wait Briefly
Wait a few moments.
4.3 Reboot Charging Station
Click on "Reboot the charging station".
5. Complete the Setup
5.1 Verify Restart
Ensure your charge point has fully restarted
5.2 Connection Established
Your charge point is now connected to synergEV
5.3 Continue Setup
Once these steps are done and your charge point is restarted go ahead and continue the rest of the setup in the synergEV Platform.

What if my charge point doesn't connect?
Try restarting both your charge point and the EVBox app. If problems persist, check your internet connection and ensure you've entered the correct server URL.
Where can I find my security code if I lost it?
The security code is typically provided on a cardboard cutout in your charge point's installation packaging. If you've lost it, contact the manufacturer or your installer for assistance.
Can I still use my charge point if synergEV is down?
Once connected to synergEV, we become the operator of your charge point. If there are connectivity issues, contact our support team for assistance with alternative charging methods.
